Every once in a while, someone in a community rises quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly enough that people can’t help but notice. This year, that person is Nicole Grimes, the owner of Grimes Events and Party Tents and newly awarded Delray Beach Businessperson of the Year.

This incredible honor was awarded in November 2025, during one of the busiest times of the year for our team as we headed into the holiday event season. While we were deep in tents, timelines, and celebrations, we didn’t want too much time to pass without properly sharing how proud we are of Nicoe and this well-deserved recognition.

If you’ve ever driven through Delray Beach during a festival weekend, walked into a beautifully tented gala, or attended a community fundraiser under a glowing canopy — chances are, Nicole’s team helped bring it to life. Her business has become a backbone for events across Palm Beach County, but what truly sets her apart isn’t just what she builds. It’s what she gives.
